OSP, полное имя - консервант органических паялок, оно сохраняет поверхность меди от окисления путем нанесения очень тонкого защитного слоя материала над открытой медью, обычно использующей конвейерный процесс. Он использует на водно-органическое соединение, которое избирательно связано с медью и обеспечивает металлооргаллический слой, который защищает медь перед пайкой. Это также чрезвычайно зеленое экологически по сравнению с другими распространенными ведущими свободной отделкой, которая страдает от более токсичных или существенно более высоких энергопотреблений.

Типичная толщина OSP составляет 0,2 - 0,65um, а срок годности составляет 6 месяцев. Это простой производственный процесс для создания OSP и, как и отделка HASL, стоимость производства OSP ниже, чем большинство других поверхностных отделок.
